This denim is from the FW04 collection, this is the original, the first version before it has been realesed several times because of its success.

These jeans were made entirely from second hand denim that has been recycled to give it a second life. The traces of wear are an integral part of the garment, and it is also one of the central subjects of the collection which is the wear of the garment over time and its appropriation by the consumer. The jeans have been reworked by hand using the Japanese Sashiko restoration technique. Originally designed to quilt multiple layers of fabric for warmth and durability or to reinforce a single layer of fabric. This technique consists of a running stitch sewn in repeating or interlocking patterns through one or more layers of fabric.

We also find on the jeans a detail in homage to Mrs.

Smith which is the small embroidered lightning bolt that Pattie had tattooed on her knee.
